About the role
Join Mastercard’s Marketing and Communications team as a Summer 2027 Intern, gaining hands‑on experience at the intersection of marketing, brand and communications while supporting projects that drive business growth.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify joint marketing opportunities, develop compelling content, and execute initiatives that elevate Mastercard’s brand visibility.
- Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to optimize future activities.
- Support the development and execution of marketing strategies and create engaging content for digital‑savvy audiences across various platforms.
- Conduct research and help develop strategic frameworks, leveraging AI tools to analyze trends and uncover insights.
- Gain hands‑on experience in corporate communications, content development, media relations, and digital storytelling.
- Write clear, concise, and compelling content tailored to specific audiences and communication channels.
- Contribute to storytelling initiatives that support Mastercard’s business strategy, brand reputation, and thought leadership.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or accelerated Master’s program with graduation expected between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with AI‑powered tools, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including content creation, storytelling, editing, and message development.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving abilities, using data and insights to inform recommendations.
- Organizational and project‑management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Innovative mindset with intellectual curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Interest in the evolving digital landscape, fintech, payments, social media, and emerging consumer trends.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
