Manufacturing Operations Controller

About the role

The Manufacturing Operations Controller will partner directly with plant leadership across a portfolio of precision manufacturing sites in the United States. This hands‑on role blends accounting expertise with operational insight to drive profitability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with plant leaders to improve profitability and operational performance.
• Analyze cost accounting, inventory, labor, overhead, and manufacturing efficiencies.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial reports that support better business decisions.
• Standardize accounting and operational processes across multiple manufacturing locations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, inventory accuracy initiatives, ERP enhancements, and process implementations.
• Support acquisition integrations and transition newly acquired businesses onto standardized financial processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in cost accounting and inventory management.
• Experience working directly with operations and plant leadership.
• Familiarity with precision machining, aerospace, metal fabrication, or similar discrete manufacturing sectors is preferred.
• Comfortable spending time on the production floor and traveling to multiple facilities.

Required skills

• Manufacturing ERP systems such as Epicor, JobBoss, E2, Global Shop, Infor Visual, NetSuite, etc.
• Cost accounting and inventory analysis.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• KPI and dashboard development.
