Manufacturing Engineering Summer Internship

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Summer Intern to join our team based in Mobile, AL. We are looking for an energetic and self‑motivated intern with an industrial or engineering background to support the launch and industrialization of the new production line. This is an exciting hands‑on opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop rework instructions to address non‑conformities that deviate from the design dossier and coordinate with MAP and Design Office engineers for repairs.
• Lead and support projects aimed at enhancing production productivity and overall process improvements.
• Maintain and update processes from a technical standpoint to ensure operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, and design dossiers.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective teamwork, active listening, and clear verbal and written communication.
• Ability to articulate problems, solutions, and feedback while fostering an open, respectful team environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD.
