Manufactured Housing Product Analysis Intern

About the role

Assurant's Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience combining hands-on work with learning, mentorship and networking. As a Manufactured Home Product Analyst Intern, you will help shape and improve the manufactured home insurance product, working alongside experienced team members at the intersection of data, product strategy and execution. The internship starts on 5/17/2027 and ends on 8/7/2027, with a hybrid option of 2 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze product performance, profitability, customer needs and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Turn data into reports, visualizations and insights for team members and business partners.
• Conduct competitive and market research, including state-specific competitive analysis of top competitors.
• Identify risk management concerns, analyze client-specific items and suggest corrective actions.
• Follow product changes through planning, quality assurance, regulatory filing, implementation and post-launch analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales and Technology teams, and help improve products, reporting and processes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Risk/Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Economics or a related field.
• Interest in product analysis, data analysis, market research, insurance or product development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, accept feedback and collaborate.
• Must be work-authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship; F-1 visa holders who need sponsorship are not eligible.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data cleaning).
• Preferred: data visualization concepts or tools, SQL, Power BI or similar tools, and exposure to automation/AI.
