About the role

The Manager of Social Media and Communications leads Prairie View A&M University’s digital presence, developing and executing social media strategies that advance institutional priorities and strengthen brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
• Create original multimedia content—including written posts, photography, graphics, short‑form videos, reels, and stories—tailored to each platform.
• Maintain editorial calendars, manage publishing schedules, and provide real‑time coverage of university events and announcements.
• Monitor audience engagement, respond to inquiries, and support crisis communications through social channels.
• Analyze performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and optimize content based on data insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• At least three years of experience in digital marketing or social media.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to multitask.
