Manager, Regulatory Compliance - Payments & Digital Assets

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager of Regulatory Compliance focused on Payments and Digital Assets. The role will oversee licensing, reporting and examination readiness across U.S. and international jurisdictions, ensuring the company meets all regulatory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage licensing activities through NMLS and non‑NMLS channels, including renewals, change notices and regulator requests.
• Maintain money‑transmission, virtual‑currency and related licenses, supporting BitLicense and other state, federal and international registrations.
• Coordinate vetting processes for officers, board members and independent directors, handling documentation and follow‑up.
• Update regulatory obligation and control inventories, incorporate new guidance and perform gap assessments.
• Prepare board and management reports, KPI metrics and risk assessment inputs related to licensing and compliance.
• Support regulatory examination readiness, including evidence gathering, remediation tracking and response coordination.
• Oversee surety bond maintenance and jurisdiction‑specific bonding requirements.
• Lead incident reporting, assessing notification requirements and preparing timely submissions.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Product, Finance and business teams to deliver regulatory deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
