About the role
Mastercard is seeking a Manager for Government Affairs and Policy in the United States. This dynamic position blends policy analysis, political compliance, stakeholder engagement and project management to shape the company’s voice on public policy issues.
Key responsibilities
- Manage Mastercard’s employee Political Action Committee (PAC), including compliance reporting, executive communications, event coordination and stakeholder outreach.
- Develop and execute PAC engagement strategies to increase employee participation, grow receipts and membership.
- Coordinate high‑impact political events such as fundraisers, thought‑leadership forums and meetings with policymakers across the United States.
- Enhance political disclosure reporting through streamlined data‑tracking methods and ensure timely corporate disclosures.
- Create and deliver political compliance training programs in partnership with legal teams and external counsel.
- Manage logistics for political events, from scheduling and vendor management to post‑event follow‑up.
- Support advocacy campaigns and political engagement strategies, including policy research and briefing material preparation.
- Track relevant legislation, committee activity and key developments that affect Mastercard’s policy priorities.
- Drive strategic initiatives by developing project plans, managing timelines, workstreams and tracking systems.
Required profile
- Organized, detail‑oriented and politically curious professional.
- Strong ability to work across multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for briefing senior leaders.
- Experience in managing political compliance, PACs or government‑affairs programs.
Required skills
- Knowledge of U.S. political compliance regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience with event planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in data‑tracking and reporting methodologies.
- Project‑management capabilities.
