Manager, Global Payroll

About the role

The Manager, Global Payroll is a hands‑on people leader responsible for operating and continuously improving Chainalysis’s US payroll and global Employer of Record (EOR) operations. This role oversees payroll execution, provider and vendor relationships, compliance coordination, controls, issue resolution, stakeholder communication, and process improvement across multiple platforms and operating partners.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payroll operations across countries, employee populations, payroll platforms, and third‑party providers, owning calendars, cut‑offs, funding readiness and processing timelines.
• Process or review regular and off‑cycle payroll cycles, terminations, new‑hire onboarding, employee changes and related events.
• Coordinate payroll tax administration, filings, payments, registrations and reconciliations.
• Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with payroll, EOR, tax and other providers, ensuring service quality and issue resolution.
• Lead a team of Payroll Specialists through goal setting, coaching, performance management and career development.

Required profile

• Five or more years of payroll experience with US payroll ownership and demonstrated leadership or transformation experience.
• Hands‑on experience processing US payroll, preferably using ADP Workforce Now or a comparable platform.
• Experience with global EOR or multi‑country payroll operations and vendor management.
• Working knowledge of US payroll tax administration, filings, payments and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, cross‑functional partnership and process‑improvement skills.
