Manager, Communications – Scripted Series

About the role

Netflix is seeking a Manager of Communications to lead the narrative for its scripted series portfolio, covering drama, comedy, genre, YA and franchise titles. Based in Los Angeles, you will own the full communications cycle from development through launch, renewal and beyond, shaping how the slate connects with cultural and industry conversations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute end‑to‑end communications strategies for scripted series, including messaging, campaign planning and issues management.
• Pitch, secure and shape press coverage across trade, business and entertainment media, leveraging an existing network of relationships.
• Create multi‑title storylines that link individual shows to broader cultural trends and industry impact.
• Design compelling brand narratives and identify non‑traditional angles through social, fandom and cultural moments.
• Collaborate with creative executives, production, marketing and legal teams to align communications with overall strategy.
• Identify and mitigate brand risks, handling sensitive reactive situations such as cancellations or HR issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in media relations and storytelling within the entertainment industry.
• Strong network of press contacts and ability to work directly with creators, talent and production partners.
• Strategic thinker who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments and can manage ambiguity.
• Hands‑on operator comfortable taking ownership of campaigns from concept to execution.
