Make Ready Technician

About the role

The Make Ready Technician prepares vacant apartments for new residents in Summit Property Management’s portfolio across Northeast Dallas. The role combines interior turnover work with exterior property upkeep, ensuring each unit and surrounding areas meet the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and stage vacant apartments, removing debris, trash, and any items left by previous occupants.
• Sweep sidewalks, maintain dumpster areas, and keep all exterior spaces free of litter and hazards.
• Inspect and replace exterior lighting as needed.
• Follow the make‑ready board and manager instructions to meet turnover timelines.
• Complete required checklists and maintain accurate logs.
• Perform assigned landscaping and grounds‑keeping duties.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• At least three months of experience in grounds keeping, pool service, or cleaning (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Enjoyment of outdoor work.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
• Understanding of Fair Housing regulations.
