Make Ready Technician – Austin

About the role

The Make Ready Technician ensures vacant apartments are turned over to market‑ready condition, meeting Greystar’s quality standards for occupancy. This role involves performing technical and mechanical work to prepare units for new residents.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements on vacant units according to the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers as needed.
• Inspect and repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Perform touch‑up painting on vacant and occupied units as directed.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completion of the make‑ready checklist and related maintenance records promptly.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Capability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Lift up to 25 lb independently and up to 50 lb with assistance.
• Flexible schedule including on‑call duties during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
