Make Ready Specialist – Residential Turnover

About the role

The Make Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. This involves performing technical and mechanical work to turn units into market‑ready homes quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all repairs and improvements listed on the community’s make‑ready checklist before new residents move in.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect, repair or replace damaged sheetrock and perform touch‑up painting.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completed work and follow safety and risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Physical capacity to lift 25 lb independently and up to 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and respond to on‑call requests.
• Customer‑service mindset, treating residents respectfully and addressing maintenance inquiries promptly.

• Pressure‑washing of exterior surfaces.
• Basic plumbing and fixture maintenance.
