Make-Ready Specialist

About the role

The Make-Ready Specialist ensures vacant apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. This hands‑on position involves completing repairs, finishing work, and general upkeep so units are market‑ready quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all repairs and improvements required before a new resident moves in, following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect and repair or replace damaged sheetrock.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervision.
• Maintain common areas by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Document completed tasks and submit required maintenance paperwork promptly.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings, and complete OSHA‑related training.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answering questions and addressing maintenance concerns.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to meeting quality standards.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and use tools responsibly.
