Maintenance Technician – The Hills

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the day‑to‑day operations of a stabilized, garden‑style community in The Hills. The role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Availability to work Tuesday‑Friday 9 am‑6 pm, Saturday 8 am‑5 pm and be on‑call as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, documentation standards and inventory protocols.
