About the role
We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to join the team at The Hayward on Mass Ave in Washington, DC. The role focuses on maintaining the building’s systems, common areas and resident amenities to ensure safety, functionality and a high standard of appearance.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to resident service requests by completing work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and applicable codes.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks on building equipment and systems to reduce downtime.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections and creating punch‑lists for necessary repairs before new tenants move in.
Required profile
- Proven experience in building or property maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings and code requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
