Maintenance Technician – The Avante

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Avante property in Wichita. The role ensures that the building, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The technician works on‑site, collaborating with the property management team to ensure a high‑quality living environment for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical and technical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with property “make‑ready” procedures and coordinating vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and documentation.
