Maintenance Technician – Sarasota, FL

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that all physical aspects of Greystar’s residential properties—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. This full‑time, on‑site role supports resident satisfaction and prepares vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests, diagnosing the source of defects and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance across the property to reduce future breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, and coordinating vendors or contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent on each task.

Required profile

• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and technical issues in residential settings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and local building codes.
• Experience managing work orders and coordinating with external vendors.
