About the role
The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the Saddlebridge property – buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. The role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.
Key responsibilities
- Complete work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing issues, repairing defects, and following safety and code requirements.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination and final quality checks.
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
- Perform general grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
- Inspect contractor work for quality and compliance, and assist with routine property inspections to identify safety concerns.
Required profile
- EPA refrigerant recycling certification (Type I, II or Universal) and any state/local certifications required for service technicians.
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and on‑call rotations.
- Physical capability to lift 25 lb independently, 50 lb with assistance, and work in all weather conditions.
Required skills
- EPA refrigerant recycling certification (Type I, II, Universal).
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Preventive maintenance procedures.
