Maintenance Technician – Property Services

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This onsite role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal and painting as required.
• Inspect contractor and vendor work to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Required profile

• EPA Type I & II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where applicable.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and to respond to on‑call duties.
