Maintenance Technician – Onyx 183

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Onyx 183 property. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, functionality, and appearance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative‑maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with safety codes and company policies.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting purposes.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with building‑systems maintenance and repair.
• Ability to follow detailed work orders, safety procedures, and documentation standards.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management and vendor coordination.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑presented property environment.
