Maintenance Technician – Maxwell at Bascom

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Maxwell at Bascom community in San Jose, CA. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the building, grounds, amenities and common areas clean, safe and fully functional, supporting Greystar’s high standards for resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete assigned work orders promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Diagnose defects, determine root causes and execute repairs in line with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed using the property management system.
• Be on‑call once a month for a week to address after‑hours issues.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to work on a schedule that includes weekends off and occasional on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Familiarity with work‑order platforms such as HappyCo and Yardi (preferred).
• Basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing troubleshooting.
