Maintenance Technician – Juniper

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support its Juniper property in Columbia. The role focuses on ensuring that buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and preventative maintenance tasks, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and performing general cleaning and painting as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to Greystar’s risk‑management policies.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience with unit turnover processes and coordinating vendors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and documentation management.
• Willingness to work onsite and follow safety protocols.
