Maintenance Technician

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support shipyard operations by performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment. You will work in a fast‑paced production environment, ensuring that mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems remain reliable and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on telehandlers, forklifts, cherry pickers, manlifts, welding machines, power tools, compressors and other industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, record parts used and document repairs.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
• Work safely on scaffolds, manlifts and in confined spaces, following all HSE policies.
• Support training and development of junior technicians and collaborate with welders, fitters, pipefitters and electricians.

Required profile

• Experience with installation, repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.
• Strong attention to safety procedures, including proper PPE use.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
