Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable operation of compressors, pumps and related plant equipment. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response to keep the facility running safely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine startup/shutdown of high‑speed reciprocating, low‑speed and air compressors, pumps, fans, blowers and other plant equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures, including field amine and glycol treaters.
• Monitor utilities, fuel, chemicals and lubricants; refill and maintain proper levels.
• Identify dangerous or emergency conditions and execute shutdown procedures to protect personnel and equipment.
• Create and manage work orders in MAXIMO for routine and major maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of lubricant, fluid and chemical usage.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including overtime, weekend and holiday coverage.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience maintaining mechanical equipment in an industrial setting (5 years preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory safety record.
• Ability to work independently, lift at least 50 lb, and operate in changing climate conditions and confined spaces.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Experience with high‑speed reciprocating compressors, low‑speed compressors, air compressors, pumps, fans and blowers.
• Knowledge of field amine and glycol treaters.
• Proficiency in using MAXIMO for work order management.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Waukesha Pearce, Caterpillar 3600/3601 or Ariel compressors (preferred).
