Maintenance Technician - Dominion Plaza

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of Dominion Plaza – including buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Maintain common areas and amenities by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal and painting as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training and promptly report incidents.
• Inspect work performed by contractors and vendors to verify quality, scope and specifications.
• Participate in routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate maintenance needs to management.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 refrigerant recycling certification.
• EPA Type II refrigerant recycling certification.
• Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
