Maintenance Technician – Bethesda Row

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the building, grounds, amenities, and common areas at Upstairs at Bethesda Row meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and supporting the overall physical condition of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting of curbs and signage.
• Inspect contractor and vendor work to verify compliance with quality standards, scope, and specifications.

Required profile

• Adheres to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attends safety meetings, completes OSHA and related training, and promptly reports incidents.
• Participates in routine property inspections, identifies safety concerns, and communicates physical maintenance needs to management.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification for refrigerant handling.
• EPA Type 2 certification for refrigerant handling.
• Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property.
