Maintenance Technician – Avana Townpark

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the physical aspects of Avana Townpark’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds upkeep, trash removal, pressure‑washing of breezeways and pool areas, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Inspect contractor work to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including rotating on‑call evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• EPA Type 1 certification
• EPA Type 2 certification
• EPA Universal certification for refrigerant recycling
• Valid driver’s license (for operating a golf cart where applicable)
