Maintenance Technician – Avana on Main

About the role

This position performs technical and mechanical work to ensure the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the Avana on Main property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certification and any state‑required certifications.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart on the property when required.
