Maintenance Technician – $39.82/hr Starting Pay

About the role

Nestlé Purina Petcare is expanding its manufacturing operations in Jefferson, WI and is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join its high‑speed canning facility. The role offers a starting wage of $39.82 per hour and a clear progression plan based on skill development and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain automated industrial equipment in a high‑speed canning line.
• Perform minor repairs on plant machinery such as fans, blowers, conveyors, belts, and screw conveyors.
• Collaborate with Engineering on new installations and machine improvements.
• Work with Production to improve machine efficiency and process flow.
• Apply basic electrical and electronic principles for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant systems.
• Utilize computerized maintenance management software to record work and analyze data.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment, or completion of a technical degree/certification.

Required skills

• Electrical troubleshooting and basic electronics.
• Mechanical repair of fans, blowers, conveyors, belts, and related equipment.
• Proficiency with computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).
