Quality Technician

About the role

Join Nestlé’s Jefferson pet‑food manufacturing plant as a Factory Quality Technician. You will analyze ingredient and finished‑product samples to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards, supporting the production of beloved brands such as Fancy Feast®, Friskies® and Pro Plan®.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multiple laboratory tests on ingredient and finished‑product samples and escalate out‑of‑spec results.
• Maintain, clean, and calibrate laboratory equipment, coordinating external calibration services when needed.
• Identify trends and investigate reactions to out‑of‑specifications.
• Support the Total Performance Management (TPM) process, using RedZone and Poka tools.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and the lab manual guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in quality, food manufacturing, or a related environment.
• Ability to work a 12‑hour night shift on a 2‑2‑3 schedule, including weekends.

Required skills

• Laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.
• Equipment calibration.
• Use of TPM tools such as RedZone and Poka.
• Adherence to lab safety protocols.
