Maintenance Technician – $3,000 Sign‑On Bonus

About the role

Driven by integrity and a love for pets, Nestlé Purina’s Hartwell, Georgia facility seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep its 500,000‑sq‑ft plant running smoothly. The role includes a $3,000 sign‑on bonus and offers a clear career path through a seniority‑based shift‑bid system.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all plant safety and work rules.
• Execute planned maintenance (PM) activities to prevent equipment failures.
• Create, revise and improve parts kits in SAP together with the Planner.
• Reduce unplanned stoppages through root‑cause analysis.
• Provide on‑shift electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for motors, PLCs, conveyor, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Log maintenance work, time, parts and failure details in SAP.
• Work safely in environments with temperature extremes, raw pet‑food materials, ladders and heights.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED with at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience, or a two‑year technical degree.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and participate in seniority‑based shift bidding.

Required skills

• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, including motors, PLCs, wiring and welding.
• Maintenance of conveyor, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, bearing replacement.
• Use of SAP for work orders, parts issuance and failure logging.
• Root‑cause analysis and implementation of predictive/planned maintenance strategies.
