Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift

About the role

The Maintenance Technician works the 2nd shift (Monday‑Friday, 1:00 pm‑9:30 pm) performing preventative, maintenance and repair tasks on large manufacturing equipment such as hydraulic, pneumatic and conveyor systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, cleaning, oiling, lubricating and belt changes to keep machines running optimally.
• Diagnose root causes of unexpected breakdowns and execute rapid repairs to minimise downtime.
• Record damaged or worn parts, order replacements and install them as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports of work performed and maintain organized shop areas, inventory and tools.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance with managers and collaborate on new product introductions or equipment modifications.
• Identify improvement opportunities, present solutions and lead or support implementation.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to promote a zero‑accident culture.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certificate in welding, maintenance, electrical or related field preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual ability is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and a customer‑centric attitude.
