Maintenance Supervisor – Skymor Buford

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor will lead the day‑to‑day upkeep of the Skymor Buford community, ensuring that all building interiors, exteriors, grounds and common areas meet Greystar’s high standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality. This full‑time onsite position combines hands‑on repairs with coordination of vendors and team members to keep the property operating smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests, diagnosing defects and performing repairs per policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Oversee and execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor scheduling, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspection.
• Develop and maintain standards for the appearance and cleanliness of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, unit interiors, breezeways, signage, leasing office, garbage areas and parking lots.
• Conduct periodic inspections of work performed by team members, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with quality standards, scope and specifications, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to order materials within budgetary limits.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to contractual terms.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to minimize downtime and extend asset life.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance operations in residential or community settings.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and Greystar’s operational standards.
• Ability to lead a maintenance team, prioritize tasks and manage multiple work orders simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational skills for inventory control, vendor coordination and budget adherence.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, management and external service providers.
