Maintenance Supervisor – Laurel Canyon Apartments

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas at Laurel Canyon Apartments meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This position combines hands‑on technical work with oversight of maintenance staff and external vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve resident service requests and routine maintenance issues in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Develop and enforce standards for the appearance and upkeep of grounds, building exteriors, interiors, signage, parking areas, and other common spaces.
• Inspect work performed by maintenance team members and external contractors to ensure compliance with quality, scope, and specifications.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, collaborating with the Community Manager to stay within budget.
• Execute monthly preventative maintenance tasks as outlined in the policy manual.

Required profile

• Proven experience performing technical and mechanical maintenance in a residential or commercial setting.
• Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and Greystar’s operational policies.
• Ability to supervise staff, coordinate vendors, and conduct quality inspections.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory control and scheduling.
