Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd. is a Canadian-owned manufacturer of roofing and building materials with production facilities worldwide. This Safety Sensitive Maintenance Supervisor position supports the Maintenance Manager in plant maintenance, reliability and engineering initiatives. The supervisor oversees day-to-day maintenance activities, coordinates work and drives continuous improvement in equipment reliability and uptime. Location: IKO Glass Fiber Inc., Chester, SC; department: Maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily maintenance activities, assign work, monitor progress and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate maintenance personnel, contractors and production teams to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Run preventive and predictive maintenance programs and use the CMMS for work orders, scheduling and tracking.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate repairs, identify failure trends and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, upgrades and modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, including SC OSHA, EPA, SC DHEC, NFPA, NEC and FM standards.
• Maintain plant systems such as fire protection and security systems, keep accurate records and support environmental compliance.
• Train, coach and develop team members and communicate with operations, engineering and management.

Required profile

• Prior maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Five or more years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and in high-temperature conditions, and to lift or move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with availability to respond to emergencies.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs and ladders, reach, grasp and work at heights.
