Maintenance Planner

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join its team at the Bismarck, Missouri plant, which produces granules from raw material for its shingle manufacturing operation. The planner coordinates preventive, routine, repair and emergency maintenance using a CMMS, and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare maintenance work orders for scheduled and emergency work
• Coordinate labour, tools and parts needed for each job
• Develop weekly and outage work scopes for hourly maintenance personnel
• Maintain equipment records, bills of materials and asset data in the CMMS
• Create, schedule and close out preventive maintenance tasks, and continuously improve PM programs to maximise equipment uptime
• Track and manage spare parts inventory and equipment documentation

Required profile

• Associate degree in a technical field preferred
• At least 2 years of maintenance planning or scheduling experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Mechanical design experience is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, with strong organisation and planning skills

Required skills

• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
