Maintenance Mechanic – Shift Role

About the role

We are hiring a Maintenance Technician for Nestlé’s Medford manufacturing facility, supporting the production of household pizza brands. The role offers a $5,000 sign‑on bonus and operates on 2nd or 3rd shift schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot high‑speed packaging machinery and other manufacturing equipment.
• Repair and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, lifts, and hoists.
• Read and interpret blueprints, process diagrams, and machinery manuals to diagnose problems.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and work orders in SAP CMMS.
• Install new equipment, clean tools and parts after line rebuilds, and lead root‑cause analysis initiatives.
• Modify and upgrade electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 2‑year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance, or Journeyman certification.
• 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or 2 years of technical education plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, replace parts, adjust machinery and meet operating specifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with high‑speed packaging machinery.
• Experience using material handling equipment (pallet jacks, lifts, hoists).
• Ability to read blueprints, instrumentation and flow diagrams.
• Competence with power and hand tools.
• Use of SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic system troubleshooting.
