Maintenance Electrician Weekender

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to work weekend shifts at our high‑speed brewery in Baldwinsville. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and supporting production equipment to keep quality and uptime at their best.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Participate in work planning, part staging and coordinate with planners.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives and drive change.
• Document maintenance and quality activities using computer reporting systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled and variable‑speed drive equipment, including batch processes.
• Maintain plant power distribution and interpret electrical schematics.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to increase equipment reliability.
• Follow safety, LOTO and 5S procedures and record activities in SAP.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED; safety knowledge including lockout/tagout and high‑voltage work.
• Ability to work afternoon, midnight and weekend shifts, with 60 % weekend availability.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, twist and lift up to 50 lb repeatedly.
• Strong problem‑solving skills to diagnose root causes and implement remedies.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley PLC5, ControlLogix, Siemens, HMI, Servo Drive).
• Interpretation of electrical schematics and high‑voltage systems.
• Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Computer networking basics (routers, Ethernet switches).
• SAP for maintenance documentation.
• Calibration, installation and maintenance of process and analytical instrumentation.
• Mechanical maintenance such as valve, conveyor bearing, motor/gearbox replacement and lubrication.

What we offer

• Starting pay $40.59 per hour, increasing to $41.59 after a 60‑day probationary period.
• Shift differentials: $0.50 for midnight, $0.45 for afternoon shifts; 1.5× pay for Saturday, 2× for Sunday and holidays.
• Part‑time weekend schedule averaging 16‑24 hours per weekend, with 8‑12 hour shifts.
