Maintenance Electrician – $5,000 Sign‑on Bonus

About the role

Our Crete, Nebraska plant produces over a thousand tons of wet pet food daily for leading brands. As a Maintenance Electrician you will keep all plant systems running safely and efficiently, supporting facilities, processing, packing and warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform predictive and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment across the plant.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems, including motors and PLCs.
• Use diagnostic tools such as volt/ohm meters, wiggies, ammeters and meggers.
• Install and fine‑tune sensors, switchgear, control wiring and over‑current protection for three‑phase motor systems.
• Service plant electrical/electronic equipment, operator interfaces, process controllers and power supplies while adhering to safety protocols.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of electrician experience in manufacturing, industrial, warehouse or related environments, or a 2‑year technical degree.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Electrical controls troubleshooting (motors, PLCs).
• Operation of diagnostic equipment (voltmeter, ohmmeter, wiggie, ammeter, megger).
• Sensor installation.
• Switchgear and control wiring installation and maintenance.
• Three‑phase motor protection (over‑current, overload).
• Maintenance of plant electrical/electronic systems (operator interfaces, process controllers, power supplies).
