Mainframe Test Consultant

About the role

The Mainframe Test Consultant will join Infosys’ Financial Services unit, supporting digital transformation projects for banking, wealth management and insurance clients. Based in Charlotte, NC, you will work on mainframe applications, ensuring quality through functional and API testing.

Key responsibilities

• Document and elicit business requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Facilitate design discussions and capture design decisions for the development team.
• Develop, integrate and maintain code for new features and updates on mainframe systems.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories and ensure system stability.
• Design and execute test strategies, analyze results and coordinate bug fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support frameworks for smooth application roll‑out.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, proposing preventive measures.
• Maintain detailed records of code changes, testing techniques and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to implementation.
• Experience translating complex requirements into actionable test plans.
• Proactive attitude towards production support and continuous improvement.
