Main Shop Technician

About the role

Join the South Houston Nissan dealership as a Main Shop Technician, responsible for fixing, inspecting, and maintaining a variety of vehicles in a fast‑paced service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, brake and steering repairs, and diagnose electrical, transmission, and fuel system issues.
• Repair cooling components, conduct emissions and safety inspections, and produce accurate paperwork for all work performed.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and keep the work area clean and safe.

Required profile

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience, preferably with Nissan.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certification and state inspection license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for long periods, and perform frequent reaching, bending, and squatting.

Required skills

• Understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.
• Proficiency with power tools and ability to read and interpret technical data.
