Machinist Operator L5 – Weekend Night Shift

About the role

You will operate manufacturing equipment that produces life‑sustaining products, working the weekend night shift in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. The role requires quick problem‑solving, adherence to safety and quality standards, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate automatic and semi‑automatic manufacturing equipment during the weekend night shift.
• Perform adjustments, repairs, and routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Set up machines for product code changes following manuals and specifications.
• Supply materials to machines, inspect, pack, and document production according to plant procedures.
• Monitor and record production data, downtime, and setup times using manual charts or electronic systems (POMS, MMS 3).
• Identify and report equipment issues that could affect operation and collaborate with automation and process engineering teams for improvements.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanics, electronics, tooling, or related field.
• 0–1 year of experience with automatic or semi‑automatic equipment.
• Ability to work weekend night shifts and overtime as required.
• Physical ability to lift 20–50 lb occasionally and 10–25 lb frequently.
• Good communication skills in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Operation of automatic and semi‑automatic manufacturing machinery.
• Preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance (cleaning, greasing, lubrication).
• Troubleshooting and adjusting electromechanical controls.
• Use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
• Documentation of production parameters using manual charts or electronic systems (POMS, MMS 3).
