Machinist Operator L5 – Weekend Night Shift

About the role

As a Machinist Operator L5 you will work the weekend night shift producing life‑sustaining products for Baxter. The role involves operating automatic and semi‑automatic manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate automatic or semi‑automatic machinery, adjust and repair equipment to maintain optimal productivity.
• Monitor machine operation within established safety and environmental parameters, and report any conditions that could affect performance.
• Supply materials to assigned machines, inspect, pack, and document material according to plant procedures.
• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance such as cleaning, greasing, and lubrication.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanics, electronics, die‑cutting, or related field.
• 0–1 years of experience with mechanical or electronic equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, analyze malfunctions, and identify corrective actions.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
• Good communication skills in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Use of measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, ruler).
• Mechanical troubleshooting.
• Electronic troubleshooting.
