M&A Tax Advisory Leader

About the role

Riveron is seeking a senior leader to shape and grow its national M&A Tax practice. This role combines strategic oversight, client advisory, and team leadership across complex domestic and cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the firm’s M&A Tax function, defining strategy, execution, and growth initiatives.
• Advise private equity firms and corporate clients on tax implications of acquisitions, divestitures, reorganizations, and joint ventures.
• Oversee due‑diligence efforts, quantify tax exposures, and communicate findings to executives and deal teams.
• Design and implement tax‑efficient structures for complex transactions, both domestic and cross‑border.
• Collaborate with Transaction Services, Tax, Accounting Advisory, Restructuring, and Business Transformation teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Drive revenue growth by cultivating client relationships, originating new opportunities, and expanding Riveron’s brand in transaction tax.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of MD‑level and senior professionals, ensuring strong execution and succession planning.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive tax experience focused on M&A/transactions.
• Background in Big 4, national advisory, or boutique transaction tax practice.
• Proven ability to generate and grow client engagements with private equity firms and corporate executives.
• Strong external market credibility and a demonstrable book of business.
• Experience managing and mentoring senior professionals.
