Lobby Attendant – Evening & Night Shifts

About the role

The Lobby Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining all public areas, restrooms, and back‑of‑house spaces at a hotel in Houston. This full‑time position works rotating shifts to ensure the lobby and surrounding areas are consistently presentable for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service assigned public and employee areas, including floors, dusting surfaces, and emptying trash containers.
• Inspect furniture for damage, report issues, and maintain lighting fixtures.
• Post caution signs when necessary and coordinate urgent repairs with other departments.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, inquiries, and complaints, following “Make it Right” guidelines.
• Identify and report preventative maintenance issues in public areas.
• Follow hotel safety policies, use protective equipment, and report accidents or injuries.
• Maintain a clean, dry, and obstacle‑free work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environmental services role.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic reading and writing proficiency in English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Capability to communicate via radio and phone.
• Comfort handling chemical cleaners and disinfectants.
• Regular attendance and reliability.
