About the role
The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Center for the American Future is seeking a litigation attorney to join a close‑knit team of eight lawyers. The position can be performed fully remotely or on‑site at the Austin headquarters, focusing on legal challenges to government overreach.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage litigation matters at the administrative, district, and appellate court levels.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents.
- Conduct legal research and develop strategies to defend individual liberty and constitutional limits.
- Collaborate with the broader TPPF team on policy‑related legal initiatives.
- Represent the Center in negotiations, hearings, and court appearances.
Required profile
- At least five (5) years of litigation experience, preferably in federal courts.
- Strong commitment to defending individual liberty and constitutional principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative legal team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
