Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) – On‑site in Okinawa, Japan

About the role

Arcetyp LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to work onsite at a clinic in Okinawa, Japan. The role supports patient care under the direction of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring compliance with nursing standards and clinic policies.

Key responsibilities

• Check‑in patients, triage according to clinic guidelines, and communicate findings to the care team.
• Obtain and document patient and family histories, vital signs, and specimen collections.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic examinations (e.g., lumbar punctures, colposcopies, sigmoidoscopies) and prepare patients for procedures.
• Perform laboratory tests, dressings, IV fluid management, catheter and nasogastric tube insertions, and medication administration.
• Transport patients to radiology, therapy, and other clinic areas as needed.
• Label and track specimens, enter results into CHCS/AHLTA, and alert providers to abnormal findings.
• Provide routine nursing care such as hygiene, bathing, and linen changes.

Required profile

• Current LPN/LVN license and eligibility to work in Japan.
• Experience in a clinical or military medical setting preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain accurate documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CHCS/AHLTA electronic health record systems.
