Licensed Practical Nurse – Multiple Shifts at GA Regional Hospital

About the role

The State of Georgia, through the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to work multiple shifts at GA Regional Hospital in Savannah. This full‑time, on‑site position provides direct patient care in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent or disabled patients.
• Administers medications, injections, and intravenous fluids, documenting dosage and times.
• Monitors and records vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Assists patients with bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene.
• Performs basic wound care, catheterizations, and other treatments as ordered.
• Observes patients, charts changes in condition, and reports adverse reactions.

Required profile

• Current Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or multi‑state compact license.
• High School diploma/GED and successful completion of an approved LPN program.
• At least six months of nursing experience or one year in a Licensed Practical Nurse 1 position.
• Ability to pass state and national background checks, drug screening, TB test, and annual influenza vaccination.

• Salary range $53,000 – $61,000 annually.
