Level II NDT Technician – Offshore Inspection

About the role

The Level II NDT Technician provides on‑shore and off‑shore industrial inspections of piping, pressure vessels, structural components and related assets. The role demands strict adherence to safety, accurate documentation, and the ability to travel frequently, often on short notice, to client sites and offshore locations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections using Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Visual, Ultrasonic Thickness, and Dye Penetrant methods.
• Conduct cathodic protection surveys and rope‑access inspections on offshore structures, vessels, and pipelines.
• Prepare, calibrate and maintain NDT and rope‑access equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Document findings with cameras, video, written reports and generate detailed inspection reports using industry software.
• Assist and supervise Level I technicians and trainees, providing on‑the‑job training.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of documented Level II NDT experience with certifications in Radiography, Magnetic Particle, Visual, Ultrasonic Thickness, and Dye Penetrant testing.
• Valid driver’s license, TWIC card, passport, SafeGulf & HUET water‑survival certification, and ability to pass a respiratory fit test for H₂S environments.
• Willingness to work offshore and on‑shore, including extended periods in remote locations and flexible hours.

Required skills

• Radiography (RT) operation and safety compliance.
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Visual Testing (VT).
• Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UT) and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT).
• Rope Access techniques (IRATA preferred).
• Use of Microsoft Word and Excel for report preparation.
