Legal Research Analyst

About the role

Accufile is looking for a Legal Research Analyst to provide high‑quality legal and business research to support its law‑firm clients. The role can be performed in a hybrid or remote setting, offering flexibility while collaborating with attorneys and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct timely legal, business, and industry research using digital and print resources, billing research time to client matters.
• Support business professional departments such as Clients and Markets and New Business/Conflicts.
• Monitor news, litigation activity, legislative and regulatory developments, and contribute to alerts, newsletters, and internal communications.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the library’s digital platforms, demonstrating strong search‑strategy and database proficiency.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of legal or business research experience.
• MLS, MLIS, J.D., or equivalent education; related research‑intensive background may be considered.
• Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for presenting findings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with legal research platforms and business information databases.
• Experience using AI‑powered research and analytics tools.
• Advanced search‑strategy development and knowledge of licensing guidelines.
